East seniors graduate in nine days, but still have over five events at the high school. With the emotions, excitement, and energy through the air, we want to help ensure a smooth finish to the school year. There are many things seniors should keep in mind as the school year wraps up.

Prom

East’s prom this year will be on May 9 from 6-10 p.m. at DiNofolo’s Banquets in Homer Glen. The theme is Miami nights, so dress to the nines and bring your best shine.

Senior Awards Night

Seniors who received an invitation will attend Senior Awards Night on Tuesday, May 12. Seniors will be recognized for their leadership, scholarship, and honors.

Graduation Practice

May 15 at 8 a.m., seniors are required to attend graduation practice. It is held at East in the blue gym, and runs through how the graduation ceremony will be. Graduates must attend the graduation practice to participate in Saturday’s ceremony.

Senior Brunch

Right after graduation practice, seniors can attend brunch at Bolingbrook Golf Course at 11:30 a.m. Here, there will be food and opportunities to socialize with fellow graduating seniors. Students had to have purchased a brunch ticket by May 5 to attend. Senior superlatives will be announced this day as well.

Elementary School Walk-through

Seniors were invited back to their elementary schools to pae in a walk-through. Most of the walk-throughs start between 2-3 p.m.

Graduation

The biggest event of senior year: graduation! It is held at Northern Illinois University on May 16. All graduates need to arrive at 1:00 p.m. Doors open for guests at the same time. Graduates start to line up at 1:15 p.m., and the ceremony officially starts at 2:00 p.m

Good luck with each of your next chapters. Once a wolf, always a wolf. East 2026 seniors out.
