A new location of the trending clothing store Brandy Melville opened up in Downtown Naperville on August 29, with long lines filled with young girls waiting to get inside. 

Junior at East, Miranda Arifi, was one of those girls. 

“My first impression of the store was how stocked they were since it’s a new location but it was just very crowded. I would go again probably just in like another month so I can let it cool down so it’s not as crowded there,” Arifi said.

Despite the long wait many shoppers were pleased with their visit. Several people are excited to continue to shop at this location.

The enthusiasm not only reached the teenage audience but also made it to the teachers. Oswego East staff member Katherine Slou has shared her experience. 

“I recently heard that it was opening. I have ordered a few things online from there for my niece for Christmas” Slou said.  

Her positive experience ordering from the online store has helped shape her opinion of the new store opening, demonstrating that Brandy Melville is beyond just shopping in person. 

Another East student, Reagan Mulacek has not yet had the opportunity to go.

“I think because it’s new it’s more fun to visit, so I would say the lines are worth the wait since it adds to the excitement of a new store and shopping” Mulacek said. 

Most customers seem to enjoy their time spent shopping at Brandy Melville and are excited to continue to do so. Although the wait was very long, the excitement over this new location tops it.
